One quick step so you can always find it — then you are done.
1 Pin it to your toolbar
- Click the puzzle piece icon at the top right of Chrome.
- Find JSON Beautifier in the list.
- Click the pin next to it.
Chrome hides new extensions behind this puzzle icon. Pinning takes two seconds and means the icon stays visible.
2 Use it
Just open any URL that returns raw JSON. The extension detects it and formats it automatically — no button to press.
- Collapse and expand any branch
- Search across the whole document, not only what is on screen
- Click a key to copy its path, click a value to copy the value
- Works on huge files without freezing the tab
